Position:    Quality Assurance Technician
Shift:          7am-3:30pm
Location:   The Specialty Mfg. Co. – White Bear Lake, MN

The Quality Assurance Technician aims to ensure that the product or service a organization provides and meets both external and internal requirements , including legal compliance and customer satisfaction.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Carry out basic quality functions
• Ensure products and services meet SMC or customer’s quality standards
• Inspects and audits products and services
• Use variable and attribute data and measuring instruments and techniques
• Ensure conformance with the SMC Quality Management Systems.
• Any other duties as assigned by management

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Has received direct training or has been performing Quality Technician activities for 2 years preferred
• Effective verbal and write communication skills
• Understanding of ISO 9000 and other basic quality management system requirements
• Basic computer skills
• CMM or Vision systems a plus
• CQT certification a plus
• Blueprint reading
• Calibration  
• GD&T a plus
• Strong knowledge of basic mathematics

Physical Demands: 

• Must be able to sit and stand for a continuous period.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with load noise. 
• Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs.
