Position:     Continuous Improvement Technician

Reports to:     CI Manager

Position Description

The Continuous Improvement Tech-Manufacturing Engineer will assist in developing new tooling, methods, automated equipment design and resolve process issues or problems involved in the manufacturing of production components. This role will work cross functionally throughout the organization with a focus on continuous improvement efforts.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and create tooling to improve the process flow of new and existing product lines
  • Review, identify and act on process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to work with cross functional team
  • Support Production through continuous improvement, problem solving, and process engineering
  • Responsible for understanding product assembly, manufacturing processes, quality systems and able to perceive process improvements
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, corrective action activities and provide ideas and feedback.
  • Use Lean techniques to perform process reviews and aid in establishing standardized work/operating procedures.
  • Diagnose and solve root problems to ensure production flow is maintained.
  • Assist with automated equipment assembly and robot integration.
  • Support the design and implementation of automated manufacturing production lines. Integrate automated systems into new and existing manufacturing and assembly lines.
  • Work with CI Team and Maintenance technicians to ensure proper machine and equipment functionality.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Associate/Bachelors (Preferred)
  • Lean or Continuous improvement experience a plus
  • Minimum 1 year in manufacturing or operations experience

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets
  • Experience with Solid works
  • Experience in multiple areas of manufacturing – Plastic Injection molding, Assembly, Machining
  • Strong time management skills
