Position:     Digital Marketing Specialist
Shift:            1st Shift
Location:    The Specialty Mfg. Co. – White Bear Lake, MN

Position Description:

  • Position develops, implements, tracks, and optimizes our digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels.
  • This position reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing and an exempt position.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize digital marketing projects and develop an execution plan with input from Marketing Manager for all channels including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Create and manage a content calendar that includes a variety of content types.
  • Develop content that can be leveraged on variety of channels for consumption by target audience.
  • Support internal communications in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as account management, create and sales , to ensure content is aligned with overall marketing and sales strategies.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and evolving customer needs to inform future content marketing strategies.
  • Create and execute on Social Media Strategy.
  • Develop marketing automation campaigns.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks given little direction.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Work in office environment.
  • Work must be performed on site during normal SMC business hours.
  • Must be able to lift at least 10 lbs and be able to sit for extended periods of time.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent of 5+ years proven experience in content and social media marketing, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Working experience with CRM’s and marketing automation
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO / SEM, marketing database, email, social media and / or display advertising campaigns.
  • Comfortable writing technical content to be consumed by engineering audiences.
  • WordPress and HTML experience a plus.
